Become a JIN Member
JIN (Jewish Investor Network) is a peer network for Jewish people who want to use their investments, access, and engagement with financial systems in support of justice and human rights.
JIN brings together members with a diversity of experiences, roles, knowledge, and levels of wealth to learn from each other and take individual and collective action around our investments. That could mean shareholder advocacy, impact investing, coordinated divestment, and many other forms of aligning our capital and actions with our values.
Is JIN for me?
If you identify as Jewish*, share JIN’s values, and are interested in using your financial power, access, or expertise to help build a more just world, you’re a good fit for JIN. Whether you’re an individual or family already engaged as shareholders, an inheritor trying to figure out what to do with your investments, staff at a foundation or other institution thinking about your endowments, a financial advisor or other professional wanting to make positive change in the sector, someone invested in Wall Street or in the solidarity economy, someone experienced or someone brand new, we want you involved! We are building a community where we can learn and act together.
*There is no litmus test for being “Jewish enough” to join JIN. Our members have a range of relationships to Jewishness and Judaism. Some are secular, some are religious, some are somewhere in between. We understand Jewishness as a diverse peoplehood, and draw on Jewish traditions, histories, teachings, and struggles in many different ways.
What does it mean to be a JIN member?
JIN supports members to learn and connect with each other, build collective power, and take action in the financial sphere. We welcome members to find ways to participate that align with their interests and availability, including:
Taking collective action, including signing onto a letter, co-filing a shareholder resolution, or participating in coordinated divestment.
Learning and connecting, including participating in internal conversations, gatherings, and programming; and building relationships with other Jewish investors and advocates.
Participating in building programming and advocacy; member interest drives our content and campaigns.
Building the network by connecting with other members, helping organize educational programs and member activities, inviting your community to join you.
Why join?
While your individual investments and financial decisions matter on their own, your impact is magnified when you act as part of a collective! Your membership also helps JIN build power: by joining, you are helping build a community that can act collectively, develop a stronger Jewish investor voice based in justice and human rights, and leverage power and capital for justice.
How do I join?
Reach out by filling out our contact form or emailing info (at) jewishinvestornetwork.org. A real live human will get back to you to share more about becoming a member, answer any questions you may have, and share the joining form!
Membership dues are on a sliding scale to support JIN’s work while keeping membership accessible across different financial circumstances.
